In 2025, The Selection Of Academicians Was Opened, Giving Priority To Supporting The Discipline Of Fiber Material Science And Engineering
On April 25, the election of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2025 was launched.
It is understood that in 2025, the number of additional members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will not exceed 100. Among them, 5 are from the material field of the Department of Technology and Science (including metal materials and metallurgy, inorganic non-metallic materials, organic polymer materials, special materials, material physics and chemistry, material processing technology, etc.), including 1 wide band gap semiconductor material.
In 2025, the total number of additional members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering will not exceed 100. Among them, there are 3-4 interdisciplinary subjects of Food Science and Engineering, Textile Science and Engineering, Light Industry Science and Engineering, Food, Light Industry and Textile in the Light Textile Group of the Ministry of Environment and Light Textile Engineering. The priority supporting disciplines are food engineering, fiber material science and engineering, light industrial equipment and control.
According to the Implementation Measures for the Selection of Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (for Trial Implementation), academician candidates should engage in research in natural science, technical science and engineering science, have made systematic and creative achievements in the field of science and technology, and have made outstanding contributions to China's scientific and technological undertakings or human civilization. Candidates should adhere to the principle of major contributions, academic level and ethics, strengthen the value orientation of meeting the strategic needs of national development and security and making contributions, pay attention to the balanced development of disciplines in the field, and focus on recommending scientific researchers who have been struggling in the front line of scientific research for a long time. We will resolutely eliminate the "four rationalities" and seniority, not based on the talent "hat".
The Notice of the Chinese Academy of Engineering on Nominating Candidates for Academicians in 2025 proposed that we should firmly grasp the standards and conditions of academicians, attach importance to the contributions of nominees to national development and security, to the development of science and technology, and to their original scientific and technological achievements, as well as their spirit and academic ethics; We must resolutely eliminate the "four rationalities", break the seniority, and not judge talents with "hats"; Special attention should be paid to front-line experts in scientific research and engineering technology, experts in key fields and emerging disciplines and interdisciplinary disciplines urgently needed by the country, experts who have made outstanding contributions to national major projects, major scientific research tasks and major scientific and technological infrastructure construction, outstanding experts in private enterprises, and experts who have worked in remote areas in the west for a long time, Focus on young and middle-aged experts and female experts.
