Indonesia'S New Garment Import Trade Measures

Recently, the newly released import trade measures of Indonesia involve clothing products.      Indonesia's Ministry of trade stipulates that in the next two years from December 5, 2008, the import of clothing, footwear, electronic products, children's toys, food and beverage and other five categories of goods must be officially registered trade enterprises (registered importers), and pass through the international airport or five designated large seaports located in Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan and wangjiaxi. The import must be accompanied by Certificate of import port. General importers can apply to the Ministry of trade to become registered importers.
